LIST OF OTHER PROJECTS

This is a comprehensive look at the Projects that I have been involved in for other Companies, including Noise Monster Productions and Megropolis 1 Productions.

Clicking on the cover image for each release will take you to the relevant information and trailer (if available) on the relevant site. Snippets of reviews from around the web are also included

I have tried to make some meaningful comments, but generally my brain does not hoard information of past projects too well.

Go to the Samples page for example music form some of these productions.

NOISE MONSTER PRODUCTIONS

SPACE 1889: 'RED DEVILS' [JAN 2005]Space 1889: "Red Devils"
THEME TUNE | EDITING | SOUND DESIGN | MUSIC | CD MASTERING
The first release from Noise Monster, which was set up by John Ainsworth. The first batch of releases was set in the universe of the Role Playing Game, Space 1889. Basically Victorians in space! Great fun to work on a different than anything else I have done. The Theme Tune went through a number of versions before settling on the current one. The music in general needed to be epic and Orchestral, again different from before, so I was glad to prove to myself I could do it. Go take a listen on the Samples page.

REVIEW

One of the plays biggest triumphs lies in the sound and music used throughout.  Kicking off with a memorable theme tune (proof being that you'll be humming it for days on end after one hearing!) the whole play reeks of it's era through the background music and sound effects.  In terms of an audio play the music is always of paramount importance in being able to "set the scene" if you will, and Steve Foxon has managed to pull this off with honours.  The bombastic score throughout hits just the right levels of conveying the mood of any particular scene whilst also underlining the ethos of the series "steampunk" origins.

Space 1889: "The Siege of Alclyon"SPACE 1889: 'THE SIEGE OF ALCLYON [JUN 2005]
THEME TUNE | EDITING | SOUND DESIGN | MUSIC | CD MASTERING
The 3rd in the initial Space 1889 Trilogy. I actually struggled to get my head around this one a few times, which is definitely a first. But in the end it turned out very well and I am pleased with it. It has a great epic feel to it, which I think I have managed to convey with the sound and the music.

MEGROPOLIS 1 PRODUCTIONS

SHORT FILM - 'POSSIBILITIES' [2005]"Possibilities"
END THEM | INCIDENTAL MUSIC
Another first for me. Writing the Soundtrack to moving pictures! I jumped at the opportunity to do this, as I have always wanted to score a film. OK, it’s a Doctor Who fan film and it’s only 20 minutes, but even so it was a good experience to have. I’m very pleased with the results, and would love to do more.

REVIEW

“Also worthy of comment is the production side of this film - as I said earlier, there are many references, both in direction and music, to the original series, but this is far more than rip-off territory. The speed of the editing, the wonderful colour filters, the clever (but not obviously trying to be clever) camera angles, and the lovely music are a tribute to the talents of director/editor Neil Oseman, and musician Steve Foxon."

"Don't Eat The Peaches"DON'T EAT THE PEACHES [2004]
THEME TUNE | EDITING | SOUND DESIGN | MUSIC | CD MASTERING
Something completely different. Comedic fairy tale told by a talking mirror! So, I had no problem dreaming up a Theme Tune to this; it’s a weird one. My brother is in this, as he is in the Possibilities film, so it was nice to work with him.
